Problem Statement
The mining industry is known worldwide for its hazardous working environment. Technological advancement in ore extraction techniques for the proliferation of production levels has caused further concern for safety in this industry. Research so far in the area of safety has revealed that most incidents in this industry take place because of human error, the control of which would enhance safety levels in working sites to a considerable extent.
Product Description
COALCRAFT is a cloud-based virtual reality application that is capable of simulating highly realistic coal mine scenarios.
It is equipped with many training modules such as:
bord and pillar mining
drifting-producing process simulation
catastrophe scenario simulation
mechanical operation training
miner safety training
emergency rescue drilling
The main objective is to provide real-to-life hands-on experience with the drills and processes taking place in a coal mine.
Developed an interactive VR simulation software for training Coal Miners using 6-DOF head-mounted VR device.
The game-env is developed using XRInteraction Toolkit rendered through Unity-Render-Streaming library.
Training modules and 3D models of tools designed through Blender, Unity3D, Adobe Illustrator and Figma
